Flash Fiction Challenge: Bad Daddies

This week’s prompt was to write about a bad father, but make the character sympathetic. I did what I could (though the father in question is probably more of a crappy husband and unfortunate father than a “bad dad”, but…*shrug*) and I present “Father’s Day”:

  1. the sci-fi twist of time travel is a good tool to illustrate the perception of an absent father, but the delivery method of a drunk at a bar talking to the bartender doesn’t work. I’m put off by the analytical and narcissistic narration.
